Jonathan Taylor Thomas Attempts Improvement At FOX

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) – Having been ditched for ‘N Sync by teenybopper rags some time ago, Jonathan Taylor Thomas has found a home, completing a deal with 20th Century Fox TV to star in a new primetime series for the studio’s sister, Fox Broadcasting, Variety reports.

Thomas, who played the wisecracking middle son on ABC’s “Home Improvement,” will act in a comedy or drama under the six-figure deal. Insiders said that Thomas, who played a gay teen in Showtime’s “Common Ground” earlier this year, was leaning toward working in a drama.

“Jonathan has tremendous range,” 20th Century Fox TV co-president Dana Walden said. Currently a student at Harvard, Thomas starred in feature films including “Tom and Huck” and “Man of the House.” The actor also voiced Young Simba in “The Lion King.”
